Shhhhhhhhh Listen! Do you hear it?
Every August a very faint jingle tingles the summer air.
It stirs the senses of sharp-eared elves (sometimes otherwise known as stitchers).
No, it is not the ice-cream truck rounding the corner; neither is it the sound of
school bells announcing the dwindling of summer and another semester in a few short weeks.
Before you know it, skeins of DMC #666 and #B52000 mysteriously disappear from
the shelves. All good little needle-workers know the time draws neigh to
once again begin this year's Christmas project if it will be finished in time for
gift-giving.
"The Flight of the Fairy Reindeer" is a cheerful little Christmas alphabet. Stitch it
on band samplers (my personal favorite), Christmas stockings, ornaments, or a decorative
ribbon band.
